Position Summary:

The Warehouse Technician will contribute to the success of Electro Rent through the quality, productivity and technical expertise provided to customers and colleagues. This role will process all outgoing orders for customers, other shipments and receive and process incoming deliveries in timely and accurate manner according to the company policies. Cleaning, basic check and completion of incoming equipment, support other departments and fulfil other tasks or projects when assigned.

Order Preparation – on-time delivery of orders to a satisfactory quality and presentation level that meets the company’s and customers’ expectations

Handling Specials – ensure we deliver all customer special instructions

Equipment – prepare equipment for the lab, maintain parts stock

Process- Maintain and update our quality, safety, and process procedures. Responsible for well documented and clear notifications to customer support

• Solid command of the English language (written and spoken).
• Competent skills with Excel.
• Competent skills with Outlook.
• Ability to work within a team.
• Be able to work under pressure within limited timescales while ensuring quality is delivered.

• Preferably previous warehouse experience (2+ years desirable)
• Experience with ADR regulations

Physical Requirements

• All positions will require, to some degree, the physical abilities described below to perform the essential functions of the job.

• Work the expected hours, consistently arrive at work at the agreed time and follow Company rules and guidelines regarding breaks and meal periods.
• Move around and through all work areas as needed, may include climbing stairs or ladders
• Lift and/or move up to 20 kilos
• Regularly stand/sit at the assigned workstation

Primary duties across the different divisions:

• Goods Out
  • Responsible for processing Domestic, Intereuropean and international shipments.
  • Ensuring the timely, accurate and safe dispatch of a range of electronic test and measurement equipment encompassing accuracy, attention to detail and speed.
  • Ensuring Right-First-Time Deliveries for Outbound goods are dispatched on time in a high pressure, fast-paced environment.
  • Responsible for the last quality and “presentable” check before an order ships to the customer.
  • Being a first line contact point for internal and external queries relating to outgoing shipments.
  • Ensure a high level of quality, productivity and efficiency is maintained within the team.
• Goods In
  • First-line receipt of used or new goods that need quality inspection as well as system registration.
  • Internal escalation of quality issues that occur with incoming goods.
  • Responsible for basic incoming check, completion and notification and documentation of damages and missing parts of incoming equipment.
  • Being a first line contact point for internal and external queries relating to incoming goods.
  • Ensure a high level of quality, productivity and efficiency is maintained within the team.
• Asset preparation
  • Responsible for preparing ordered items with focus on cosmetic condition of the product as well as completeness based on system requirements.
  • Being a first line contact point for internal and external queries relating to goods that are ordered.
  • First-line responsible on managing and maintaining accessory stock and resolving accessory issues with items in the inventory.
  • Ensure a high level of quality, productivity and efficiency is maintained within the team.
